Wolfgang VOLZ
Born in 1948, he lives and works in Stockholm
Wolfgang Volz has worked with Christo and Jeanne-Claude since 1971. He was project director (with Roland Specker) of Reichstag empaqueté and (with Josy Kraft) of Arbres empaquetés; he was also responsible for The Wall, 13,000 Oil Barrels, in 1999. He is the exclusive photographer of the works of Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
He is the exclusive photographer of the works of Christo and Jeanne-Claude. He documents the work and the entire career of this couple of artists known worldwide for their land art installations which consist of bringing out the essential form of monuments, islands and landscapes by wrapping them.
This close collaboration has given rise to numerous works and more than 300 exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world.
